From Passion to Purrfection

About Me:

Hello, I'm Angelina, founder of Sugar Coons and a proud mother of three beautiful children.

My journey started with a very special rescue cat named Nala.  During one of the most difficult times of my life, after losing both my parents to a drunk driver.  She was part Maine Coon and different than any other kitten I had had in my lifetime.  She loved water, jumping into the shower and running sinks, vacuums, car rides and she followed me everywhere.  She was my shadow and my little best friend.  She inspired this dream to raise Maine Coons and bring the same joy, healing comfort, and unconditional love into other families' lives.

Alongside this journey, I have devoted my life to raising my now 20, 17 & 14 -One of whom has shown remarkable strength living with type 1 diabetes. Motherhood has shaped me deeply, teaching me resilience, compassion and unwavering dedication. As my children grow and begin to prepare for their own futures, I realized this was the perfect time to pursue this dream together, before they begin to spread their wings. Our cats are truly part of our family, loved beyond measure. They bring beauty, laughter and a touch of joyful chaos into our home. From everyday household activity to regular grooming, visitors, their two yellow labs, outdoor enrichment in our patios, our kittens are thoughtfully raised to be confident, well adjusted, and deeply connected companions.

My main focus and purpose are rooted in responsibility, education, and integrity. I am committed to continuously learning and applying the highest standards in ethical breeding through extensive health testing including PennHIP testing, (extensive hip grading) and yearly echocardiograms (heart testing) on all our breeding cats. If my cats do not pass these tests, they will not be bred and will be future pets for a lucky family. (full disclosure) My focus will always be to help protect and preserve the future of this extraordinary breed. 

Equally important to me is the example I set for my children. Through this journey, I strive to teach them the values of honesty, transparency, and integrity in all that we do. This path is not without its challenges and heartache.  Loving deeply is part of honoring and caring for all living beings. 

Beyond breeding, I'm passionate about supporting my Sugar Coon families long after their kittens go home. From nutrition, care, and enrichment to lifelong guidance, my goal is to ensure every Sugar coons kitten live a long, healthy and deeply loved life. 

This is more than a program, it is legacy of love, commitment and  pupose.
