Raised in our home as part of our family, each kitten is lovingly handled and socialized from the very beginning, growing into a confident, affectionate, well-adjusted companion. With a commitment to ethical breeding, exceptional health, transparency, and integrity, my promise is to stand behind every kitten I raise and support our Sugar Coons families throughout their kitten’s life.
Meet Angelina
Hi, I'm Angelina, founder of Sugar Coons and mother of three. After losing my parents to a drunk driver, animals became my comfort including KiKi Marie, whose battle with HCM inspired my focus on heart health in breeding, and Nala, my rescue Maine Coon mix who helped spark the dream of Sugar Coons.
When my son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at four, our diabetic alert dog Sugar Bear joined our family, saving his life countless times and inspiring our name.
I breed with love, integrity, and a commitment to health including DNA screening, cardiac echocardiograms, and hip evaluations. Kittens are raised as family, and my dedication continues beyond adoption. Sugar Coons is a legacy built from love, loss, resilience, and purpose. 💗

Before joining my breeding program, each cat undergoes extensive health testing, including:
I have made the difficult decision to remove cats from my program when results did not meet my standards. (Bad hips, HCM, illness) While never easy, protecting and improving the breed must always come first.
I am committed to ethical breeding, transparency, and standing behind every kitten I produce. I do not cut corners and I do everything to the very best of my ability. It is my privilege to bring joy and companionship into each family’s home, and I provide ongoing support throughout your kitten’s life.

Our commitment to ethical breeding goes beyond comprehensive health testing and thoughtful pairings. We believe every kitten deserves exceptional care from the day they are born through the day they join their forever family.
We love when families are able to travel to Missouri to personally bring their Sugar Coons kitten home, but we understand that distance and travel can make that difficult.
For families needing assistance, professional flight nanny services are available. Your kitten can be personally accompanied in the airplane cabin and delivered safely to an agreed-upon airport.
Flight nannies are independent professionals and are not employees of Sugar Coons. Availability, travel arrangements, fees, and payment are handled directly between the new family and the flight nanny. Flight nanny expenses are separate from the purchase price of your kitten and are the buyer’s
responsibility.
